From underbody treatment with Dinatrol (which we strongly recommend) through MOT testing to basic servicing and Head unit fitting. Underbody anti-corrosion Originally we offered just the underbody treatment as our basic package. We have now discarded this option, as in our opinion, if the bumpers are not removed, then the treatment is not sufficient. Our Essential package now includes removal of both the front and rear bumpers, and the exhaust back box. Anything less than this is too restrictive, and leaves the car open to the onset of corrosion. We have (mainly on Gen 4) now also started to remove the plastic sill covers along with the plastic arch covers, This gives us access to the edges of the car, where corrosion often begins, making this the most comprehensive program we offer. There may be incidental extra costs, such as seals for the arch covers or fittings for the mudflaps if the originals can't be reused due to age or corrosion. Fiat today exercised an option to raise its stake in Chrysler by 3.3 percent.

The move is part of CEO Sergio Marchionne’s step-by-step purchases intended to lead to full control of Chrysler and the creation of a merged company that would be able to compete better with industry leaders Toyota, General Motors and Volkswagen.

Fiat has been exercising options since mid-2012 to buy holdings of about 3.3 percent from the VEBA, a medical-benefits trust for the U.S. carmaker’s retirees.

Including today’s purchase, Fiat has exercised three of its six-monthly options, increasing its stake to 68.49 percent.

Fiat has said it wants full control of Chrysler, which would give it access to some of Chrysler’s cash flow for investments in new models.

The average age of cars in various countries: 1 - Japan = 7.56 years 2 - EU = 8.1 years 3 - USA = 8.4 years Then the average annual mileage 1 - Japan = 5,700 miles 2 - EU = 9,300 miles 3 - USA = 12,000 miles Then multiply the average age of these cars by the average number kilometers they are driven every year, and you will see a huge gap between your representative car from Japan and those from these other first world places. So a typical car in Japan will have less than half the mileage on the clock as a typical car in the US! This means only one market, the JDM, or Japanese Domestic Market. The Japanese way of life is very different in a lot of ways. Their love of cars is legendary, and with one of the largest motor industries on the planet, along with their high standards, all these factors combine to create a perfect storm. We love cars, and in the early 2000's, we started looking into importing cars from Japan in addition to the UK cars we were selling. Because of how the UK rules on vehicle importation are, and the amazing condition and low milage of JDM vehicles, the ideal age of a Japanese import is around 10 years old. This meant that the vehicles we were bringing in then, were very different to the ones we import now.
