The Suzuki Jimny is one of the most iconic and capable off roading vehicles available, and has been for the last 50 years.
The Gen 4 has already become an icon – in 4 years – partly to do with its withdrawal from sale.
Its small dimensions make it not only cute, but manageably nimble on both urban and off road environments.

This Jimny is a 2020 model, and in Japan is the highest spec available to their market, and the specifications found in the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) versions are the highest in the world.
Japan, for their own citizens, produce cars with enviable features not available to the rest of the world.
In the UK, the Gen 4 Jimny was withdrawn from sale, just as it was becoming a huge hit.
This was, in a nutshell, because Suzuki as a company, wasn’t meeting EU emission targets across their range due to not having EV or Hybrids (at that time) to bring their emissions down to an average, and so they were facing huge fines per vehicle..
On a worldwide scale, the production of this new Jimny could not keep up with demand and huge waiting lists were forming.
Remember, this was before the current parts shortages for new cars post Covid.
The last (passenger) Jimny was sold in the UK in 2020, and was reintroduced as a commercial or ‘lite’ version in 2021.
Because of the demand, coupled with the scarcity – values of used Jimny’s rose quite quickly.

People buy them, and keep them.

Why is this car so special?

The Jimny we have here for sale, as mentioned above is the highest model available in Japan.
Apart from collision avoidance, lane assist, hill descent, LED lights etc., it has features which you won’t find on any UK Jimny, even the original pre commercial version before Suzuki withdrew them from sale.
Yes it has premium features like folding mirrors incorporating turn signals, however by far and away the thing which sets this car apart is that it has keyless entry and push button start.
This is true keyless in as much as the fob can be in your pocket or handbag, and you can unlock the car, start the car, and lock the car without needing to get the fob out.
We have fitted a UK cluster to include a fog-light to comply with our regulations (not a hang down ‘import’ fog-light), and also the speedo is now in MPH along with KPH.
We have just finished fitting a high end head unit, with a 10″ screen, which apart from the size, is really impressive with the wealth of features it now includes such as wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay.
We have integrated the head unit to the Jimny so it can be controlled via the steering wheel as an option.Essentially this means you can walk up to the Jimny, with your keys and phone in your pocket or handbag, open the door, start the engine and drive off whilst using all the apps on your phone seamlessly such as TomTom, Waze, Spotify, you can launch DAB+ and listen to all kinds of music, and if someone calls you, answer it hands free – all without getting out you phone or your keys.
You can also plug in your phone, and it will charge it during your journey.
Another bonus of this is that even if you’re not sure exactly where your keys and phone are, if the car opens and starts, and the phone connects, you know they’re in the car with you (somewhere) for those of us who constantly lose things!!We have also fitted a high resolution rear view camera (with HD Virtual Surround View capabilities) and a slimline dashcam (capable of being displayed on the large screen) which is also integrated seamlessly into the head unit.

We have taken the car through all the quite extensive procedure to register it in the UK, including a trip to Manchester to be inspected by DVSA officials, and the Jimny has a certificate of conformity.

This means all that is left to do is to take it for an MOT, and our vehicle is ready to register with DVLA for the road in the UK,  which is now a formality.
(We will be taking it for an MOT over the Xmas break).

The car itself is a stunning pearlescent black, with factory privacy glass.
It has LED lights, which apart from making it look like a tough little character, gives it a very close resemblance to a G-Wagon, especially with the all new, boxy styling.

We cannot express enough just how special this car is.

It really must be on your shopping list, if your shopping list contains a new Jimny!!!
